This is a great way to open the chest up, which aids the chest/shoulder/neck relationship, so important in good posture.

What this is good for:

Strengthening the chest muscles and opening the chest.

How to practice:

  • Standing straight in front of a doorframe, a person should place one hand on either side of the frame, just above head height.

  • Moving one foot forward and gently lunging past the frame will stretch the chest and shoulders. Hold this position for 30 seconds. Repeat several times on each foot, and do this exercise regularly throughout the week.
